Courchevel Celebrates 80 Years with India Roadshow

Courchevel, a French Alpine destination, is marking 80 years since its founding in 1946 and is preparing for its official anniversary celebrations beginning December 4, 2026. To strengthen its engagement with India’s luxury travel trade, Courchevel Tourisme, in partnership with One Rep Global, will host a three-city roadshow in India in September 2026.

The roadshow will be held in New Delhi on September 8, Kolkata on September 9, and Mumbai on September 11, bringing together luxury travel advisors and trade partners to showcase Courchevel’s skiing, gastronomy, hospitality, wellness, and other Alpine experiences.

One of the world’s established ski destinations, Courchevel provides access to Les 3 Vallées, alongside ski schools catering to everyone from beginners to experienced skiers. Beyond the slopes, the destination offers Michelin-starred dining, luxury accommodation, wellness, shopping, snow-based activities, and experiences catering to families and adventure travelers.

Courchevel currently has 43 hotels, including five Palace-designated properties, and seven Michelin-starred restaurants collectively holding 11 stars, reinforcing its positioning in the luxury Alpine segment.

The India roadshow will highlight these experiences for travel advisors as Courchevel seeks to build its presence among affluent Indian travelers and tap into growing interest in winter and ski holidays.

Alexia Laine, Director of Courchevel Tourisme, said, “India’s luxury traveler is redefining what a winter holiday means, less about ticking off a destination, more about depth, discovery, and multi-generational experiences that reward time spent.”

Hemant Mediratta, Founder & CEO, One Rep Global, said, “We have spent the last few years building the infrastructure for Indian luxury travelers to discover destinations like Courchevel properly, not through generic ski-holiday messaging, but through the specific things that matter to this traveler: ease of access, the right hospitality partners, and experiences beyond the slopes.”

For the Indian luxury traveler, a winter escape is no longer simply about skiing, but about how the destination makes you feel and the richness of the experience around it. Courchevel brings together an extraordinary combination of skiing, exceptional hospitality, gastronomy, wellness, and experiences that can be deeply personal and varied.

Courchevel’s efforts to attract Indian travelers will focus on showcasing the destination’s unique experiences, to appeal to the growing number of affluent Indian travelers seeking depth and discovery in their winter holidays.

Courchevel’s 80th-anniversary season will likely see increased efforts to attract more Indian travelers, with the roadshow being a key part of this strategy.

It is likely to remain a popular choice for luxury travelers from around the world, including India.
