SLH adds seven new wellbeing hotels globally

Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has added seven new properties to its Wellbeing Collection, taking the portfolio to 21 independently operated hotels worldwide, one year after the collection was launched. The Wellbeing Collection brings together hotels where wellness extends beyond traditional spa experiences to encompass physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

The properties incorporate elements such as nature, nutrition, local culture, design and destination-specific wellness practices into the guest experience. Introduced in 2025, the collection has grown to include hotels in various countries, offering different approaches to wellness shaped by their respective destinations.

Dharana at Shillim joins the collection from India, combining modern diagnostics with Ayurveda, therapeutic nutrition, yoga and breathwork within the UNESCO-listed Sahyadri Mountains. The retreat develops personalised programmes based on assessments covering sleep, nutrition, movement, recovery and metabolic health.

The property features 99 villas, while its dining programme follows an earth-to-table approach. Green Table offers personalised wellness-focused menus, Ojas serves local and international cuisine, and Vyoma provides lighter dining options, using produce sourced from the retreat’s gardens and neighbouring farms.

Six other properties have been added to the collection, including REVĪVŌ Wellness Resort in Bali, Zabola Estate in Transylvania, Sansara Surf & Yoga Resort in Panama, Skýra Retreat in Finland, Hotel Saltus in South Tyrol, and The Retreat Costa Rica. Each of these properties offers unique wellness experiences shaped by their local culture and surroundings.

REVĪVŌ Wellness Resort combines functional fitness, hydrotherapy and mindfulness with Balinese healing traditions, while Zabola Estate offers experiences such as woodland walks, horse riding and wildlife encounters. Sansara Surf & Yoga Resort focuses on surfing, yoga and dining experiences, and Skýra Retreat incorporates sauna rituals, cold-water immersion and forest bathing.

Hotel Saltus combines its alpine surroundings with a Forest Spa, panoramic Sky Pools and nature-focused experiences. The Retreat Costa Rica, located on a crystal-quartz mountain, offers yoga, sound healing, wellness-focused cuisine and mountain hikes. These new members join existing properties, including Acro Suites in Crete and Rio Perdido in Costa Rica.

Through the expanded collection, SLH aims to showcase different approaches to wellbeing, with experiences shaped by the culture, traditions and environment of individual destinations. The collection now spans India, Indonesia, Romania, Panama, Finland, Italy and Costa Rica, offering a diverse range of wellness options for guests.

The Wellbeing Collection’s focus on local culture and surroundings sets it apart from other wellness initiatives. By incorporating elements such as nature, nutrition and local traditions into the guest experience, the collection offers a more holistic approach to wellness. This approach is reflected in the unique wellness programmes and activities offered by each property.

Dharana at Shillim’s personalised programmes are based on assessments covering sleep, nutrition, movement, recovery and metabolic health, and are designed to help guests achieve a deeper understanding of their physical and mental wellbeing. Similarly, REVĪVŌ Wellness Resort’s combination of functional fitness, hydrotherapy and mindfulness with Balinese healing traditions offers a unique and immersive wellness experience.

In comparison to other wellness initiatives, the Wellbeing Collection’s emphasis on local culture and surroundings provides a more effective approach to wellbeing. By taking into account the specific needs and preferences of each guest, the collection’s properties are able to offer a more tailored and supportive wellness experience.

The collection’s growth and expansion reflect the increasing demand for wellness-focused travel experiences. As more travellers seek to prioritise their physical and mental wellbeing, the Wellbeing Collection is well-positioned to meet this demand and provide a unique and transformative wellness experience, much like India flights are becoming increasingly popular.

SLH is committed to providing a diverse range of wellness options for guests. They continue to expand the collection, adding new properties and experiences that cater to the growing demand for wellness-focused travel.

Guests can expect a unique and immersive wellness experience at each property. The collection’s focus on local culture and surroundings ensures that each experience is tailored to the specific needs and preferences of each guest.
