Pride Hotels reaches 40 hotels with Indore opening

Pride Plaza Indore opened on the AB Bypass near Rau, adding a 141‑key upscale property to the hospitality group’s portfolio and marking its 40th operational venue.

New property expands Pride’s footprint in central India

The establishment, positioned for business travel, meetings, weddings and social events, is the second Pride venue in Indore, joining an existing upscale location in the city. It offers a swimming pool, six event spaces and three dining outlets, including a poolside lounge and bar.

According to the group’s announcement, the venue features banquet and lawn areas designed for corporate gatherings and celebrations. Guests will also find specialty dining options and butler service, reflecting the brand’s “5 Senses” philosophy that blends local culture through design, art, fragrances, regional cuisine and music inspired by the Indore Gharana.

Atul Upadhyay, executive director, said the property “is a true reflection of our 5 Senses philosophy, bringing together the warmth of local hospitality with the sights, sounds, flavours and traditions of Madhya Pradesh.” The hotel’s general manager, Prantik Sengupta, is tasked with upholding the brand’s standards in the region.

The growth strategy shows a diversified portfolio

Founded in 1987, the chain now operates 40 venues with 3,204 keys and has 33 contracts in the pipeline, representing an additional 2,367 keys. When the pipeline is complete, the group expects to manage more than 70 properties and over 5,500 keys nationwide, along with more than 50 food and beverage outlets and roughly 350,000 square feet of banquet space.

Satyen Jain, chief executive, noted that the company’s assets are spread across business hubs, leisure destinations and pilgrimage sites, with about two‑thirds of keys in corporate markets, 18 % in leisure cities and 15 % in religious centers. This mix is intended to capture demand from corporate travelers, government business, weddings, meetings and domestic tourism throughout the year.

In the middle of its expansion, the group’s presence in Madhya Pradesh now includes five venues across Indore, Bhopal, Ujjain and Jabalpur. Indore stands out as the only city in the state hosting two of the brand’s establishments.

Chairman and managing director S.P. Jain, a native of Sagar district, described the opening as “a personal moment” because it represents the group’s return to his home state. He added that launching a property in Madhya Pradesh feels “truly personal” for the leadership team.

While the property is owned directly by the group, it joins seven other owned venues, bringing the total owned count to eight. The new location also contributes to the company’s aim of having a balanced and resilient portfolio across varied market segments.
